Noni & Gramps are here

Sunday May 24th - Sunday May 31st

This past week flew by. Gramps arrived Wednesday morning and I worked part of Wednesday and Thursday.

Gino's East opened in Arlington so we made the trek for lunch. After over a year without deep dish pizza we were in heaven. We even wrote Evan's name on the booth.

Evan's first road trip...the wonderful Waco. We packed up the car and drove the 1.5 hours so I could do a site visit. Noni, Gramps and Evan shopped while I worked. We had to make a pit stop at McDonald's along the way so we could feed Evan.

Evan met more family today. Mark, Sherri, Morgan, Annette, Jenna and Bella came to visit. Evan loved the attention and we have three babysitters!

Saturday 5/23

Saturday May 23rd

It rained on and off all day so after dinner we decided to brave the rain and go for a walk. This is Evan rolling in style - one blanket to protect him from the rain and one from the mosquitos. We made it two blocks and no one melted, so I'll call that a success.

Friday May 22nd

Yesterday and today were days where we wondered if we really lived in Texas. It has been raining like crazy and on top of it we barely hit upper 60s in late May!!!

This morning we awoke at 8:49am to a text message from my mom saying that her flight lands at 9:22am. So Evan and I rushed to get ready and jumped in the car to pick her up.

Evan is loving the extra special attention he gets from Noni.

Yay for the weekend! Our A/C is finally fixed, only took 3 weeks and 4 visits from the repair man, but it was just in time for the warm weather. This weeks forecast is 85 and rain almost every day. Definitely need that A/C!

Evan's first trip to IHOP. He slept through the entire meal.

Mike goes back to work on Wednesday so he is soaking up lots of Evan time this weekend.

Today Allison was nice and came over to help out Mike and I. It was much needed since Evan decided to have a diaper leak in our bed this morning. It was nice to have someone help with the dishes and make the bed since I can't stand for long.

Today's big event was a trip to Target. Since I can't stand/walk more than a few minutes at a time it meant I got to use an electric cart to get around. Only a few odd looks from other customers and I only ran into something once. I call that success.
